Moving forward, politicians who speak ill of Amani National Congress party leader Musalia Mudavadi will not be allowed to speak in funerals in Western, his spokesman Kibisu Kabatesi has revealed.

Kabatesi who speaks for the ANC party leader maintained that those working against Luhya unity will not be handed the microphone to address mourners in all funerals across the region.

He added that mourners should not fall for the tricks of politicians whose only interest is to scuttle the shared dream of Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi.

“We know sell-outs who pretend to support him (Mudavadi). Don’t allow them to sneak into funerals with tokens yet they talk ill of Mudavadi. Reject and eject them,” Kabatesi said.

He said that Mulembe nation had made its voice clear in the Matungu and Kabuchai by-elections where ANC and Ford Kenya swept the two seats, flooring ODM.

“No aspirant can be so good that they are seeking your support without supporting your son Musalia for the presidency. They may be people you know, sisters, brothers, mothers, fathers and relatives. But beware! These are political Pharisees, Jezebels and Judas Iscariots. They should be injected from genuine supporters. Don’t allow them to foul the political hygiene of this region,” Kabatesi said.

His remarks come in the wake of protests by ODM that state machinery may have been deployed to secure victory for Mudavadi and Wetangula parties as a way of propping them up as formidable forces in the 2022 elections matrix.

Reports of a sacred alliance bringing the two leaders together with KANU’s Gideon Moi and Wi[er’s Kalonzo Musyoka recently surfaced, fuelling speculation that the system may have settled on another candidate and could sabotage Raila Odinga’s 2022 bid.
