Award-winning Citizen TV news anchor Lulu Hassan has warned Kenyans against falling for a viral jobs scam.
The scam is tied to Citizen TV’s latest show, Zora with those behind the scheme claiming that there is an ongoing recruitment of actors for the show.
Sharing the viral post, the anchor made it clear that there is no such a deal writing: “Do not be duped, conman”.
With soaring unemployment, the fraudsters behind the poster were looking at cashing in on the millions of jobseekers hoping to have their big break in acting.
The poster went viral as netizens shared it across several platforms in a bid to link job seekers with the opportunity.
The poster alleges that the Zora Show is looking for actors and actresses who will be paid approximately Ksh 14,000 per week.
Job scams have been rising in Kenya with the growing number of job seekers and tough economic times.
Fraudsters have taken their games to another level and jo seekers need to be cautious.
