Violet Asale, the woman who allegedly bit her husband to death at Kahawa Wendani has spoken out for the first time with new details emerging on what transpired on the fateful night.
37-year-old Daniel Omollo Onyango Wwho was a KDF soldier died after a squabble with his musician wife who is reported to have bitten him severally.
Asale who is also a musician going by the stage name Zian Achana refuted claims that the deceased had been stabbed and admitted that he died after a scuffle at their Kahawa Wendani home on 04 April 2021.
She stated that tragedy struck as she fought back to defend herself because the husband wanted to suffocate her during their disagreement.
“He wasn’t stabbed and he doesn’t even have a stab wound. He fainted. During the scuffle, I freed myself and left him in the bedroom. When he gets angry he likes throwing things in the house and self-harming…” said Asale, a musician who also goes by the stage name, Zian Achana.
She however failed to explain the injury marks that were found on deceased’s body, stating that he called out after about five minutes, holding his stomach and stating that he had difficulties breathing.
“He started holding his stomach, I don’t know where he hit himself,” said Asale.
According to the DCI, “The 37-year-old officer died in his house at Kahawa Wendani in Kiambu’s Ruiru sub-county when his wife cast her teeth through his thumb, chest and shoulder”.
Asale is reported to have bitten off her husband’s finger. Bite marks were also found on the victim’s chest and shoulder.
Police have taken in Asale as the key suspct with investigations launched into the incident.
The suspected is a musician who recently made a switch from gospel music to secular.
