“Look Mama! I made it. I’m so happy about this” Citizen TV’s Lilian Muli celebrates as she makes debut on CNN

Award-winning Citizen TV news anchor Lilian Muli was elated after she made her debut on CNN in which she featured on a CNN news clip that compiled how commonwealth nations commemorated the passing on of the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip who died last week.

Taking to social media, Miss Muli celebrated the milestone even as her colleagues joined her in celebrating the moment.

“Look Mama! I made it. I’m so happy about this. Thank you CNN,” Muli wrote on social media.

The feature documented the life and times of Prince Philip from the time he married Queen Elizabeth II (who was then a princess) in to the time he officially retired from public life in 2017 and his death.

“Prince Philip, Queen Elizabeth’s husband has died aged 99. Buckingham Palace said the Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle.

“The Prince married Princess Elizabeth in 1947 five years before she became queen and was the longest-serving royal in British history. He officially retired from public life in 2017 after completing 22,219 royal engagements since 1952,” Lillian Muli stated in the feature.

Citizen TV crew joined in, congratulating Muli for the feat.

“When one woman makes it, the rest of us are very motivated and definitely a step closer… Congratulations Lilian,” Wrote Waihiga Mwaura.

“Just saw it and I was impressed.

“Very excited!!! My number one news anchor has made a milestone!! This is big! I love you Lilian Muli,” read some of the comments on social media.
