With KCPE results released today and with the Kenya Certificate Of Secondary Education (KCSE) approaching its end Kenyaleo.co.ke delved into the academic records of some of our local celebrities.
All have found fame and fortune thanks to their talents while others double up as accomplished professionals in other fields
KCSE is graded by a maximum grade of A plain which is equivalent to 80% score or more while the last grade is given as E, which is similar to less than 25% score.
Babu Owino
He attended Kisumu Township Secondary School and was able to score an A- of 79 points.

He demonstrated his academic prowess by graduating with First Class Honors in Acturial Science at the University of Nairobi. His quest for knowledge saw him enrol and complete a Bachellors degree in law at the same institution before scaling the heights to pursue Masters.
Fena Gitu
The accomplished rapper studied at Precious Blood Riruta where she scored an A- at a time when such grades were rare nationally.

Wahu
Better known as Rosemary Wahu Kagwi, the talented singer is a hotbed of brains, talent, humility and beauty, all mashed up in one queen married to Nameless.
After scoring an A, she joined the University of Nairobi to pursue a degree in Mathematics.

Polycarp Otieno
Better known as Fancy Fingers, Polycarp Otieno is talented in more ways than producing hits after hits with the all-men band Sauti Sol.
After making mince-meat out of KCSE by scoring an A at a time when such grades were a rare commodity, he joined Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology where he graduated with a degree in Actuarial science.
Dj Crème de la Crème
Born George Njuguna, Dj Crème de la Crème proved his academic prowess right from Primary school where she was index one. In High School, he once again excelled with an A- in K.C.S.E.
The good grades landed him at Kabarak University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
Holy Dave Muthengi
Gospel singer Holy Dave wears many hats. He is a singer, a host, a pastor as well as a lecturer. He is actually one of the most learned entertainers on Kenyan soil. Dave has a Master’s degree in Business administration from USIU. He is also a PhD student at the University of Nairobi.
