Martha Karua elicits mixed reaction with a Twitter mistake

Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua today set internet a blaze with her confusing tweet mistaking Saturday for Sunday.

Taking to her official account Karua wrote, “Have a blessed Sunday tweeps,” Karua tweeted.

Kenyans and the Tweeter family were quick to notice the mistake on the former Justice and Consitutional affairs minister.

Led by COTU secretary-general Francis Atwoli who hilariously reacted to the tweep with his famous ‘Alaa’ meme that once went viral.

He was followed by followed by numerous reactions from tweeps who seemed fascinated by the exchange between the two leaders.

“Right now: Mimi sina nguvu, Mimi sina uwezo… (in Atwoli’s voice),” wrote Joash Atulo.

“Atwoli you are an attention seeker. We don’t want even to hear anything from you,” said Kingg Son.

“No error… It is Sunday in Australia and New Zealand. What makes it seem like they are a day ahead is because they are one side of the International Date Line, and we are on the other. They are a day ahead because of that time difference,” John Chege said.

“Martha Karua is hurting just like other Kenyans. Her wish is that time flies so that Uhuru leaves office,” Wafula Khayota wrote.

“If Martha, Iron Lady, SC, former Mp, Minister, etc etc, says it is Sunday then Sunday it is! Who am I to say otherwise?” posed Muteithia CK.

“The government has no opposition right now to put it on the check. This is why they are doing things in their own ways. Life is becoming extremely hard. What is your message to the government concerning our economic growth because the youth who are the future are suffering?” Maina posed.
