Moses Kuria escapes death narrowly during heated Juja by elections, speaks on the scary experience

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has opened up on yesterday’s harrowing experience in which he “escaped death by a whisker” as Juja constituents took to the ballot to elect their new MP.

Kuria who was on the ground supporting his People’s Empowerment Party candidate George Koimburi was caught reportedly up in a confrontation where according to Murang’s Senator Irungu Kang’ata, police shot into the air.

Taking to social media, Moses Kuria appreciated the gift of life, thanking God as he shared his harrowing experience.

“This tragic story of 18th May 2021 will require a lot of energy to tell. It will be told for generations to come. For now all we can say is at this hour 3.42am on 19th May 2021, we are still stuck at the Mangu High School. We are not sure when we will leave this centre. That we escaped death by a whisker last evening is the most vivid proof that God is indeed still in the throne. We need your prayers above all else” Kuria wrote.

Earlier on, Kang’ata had appealed for help on Twitter noting that police were firing shots.

Jubilee faced off with PEP which was backed by DP Ruto with George Koimburi christened as the Hustlers’s candidate.
Kuria hailed IEBC chair Chebukati stating that “Juja Update From Mangu: Chebukati has refused State House orders to stop the count. Tallying to resume shortly”.

It was a good day in office for DP Ruto as his candidates won the Rurii MCA seat and so far, George Koimburi is poised to win the Juja seat.

Jubilee which fielded candidates in all the by-elections left empty handed after ODM’s Pavel Oimeke trounced Zebedeo Opore.
