Wiper Democratic Movement leader Kalonzo Musyoka has finally broken his silence delving on their last conversation with former Kibwezi Member of Parliament Kalembe Ndile hours before his untimely demise.
Speaking earlier today at the Lee funeral home where his body lies, Kalonzo revealed that he had spoken to the veteran politician on numerous occasions before his death.
The former NASA principal however was very particular about their last call yesterday Saturday 29, May 2021 at around 3 PM while seeking admission at the Nairobi hospital.
“He informed me that they had tried getting admitted at a local hospital and was later admitted at Nairobi Hospital,” he disclosed.
The former VP was also grateful to the doctor’s in their attempt to save his life, while making it clear that the lawmaker did not succumb as a result of Covid-19 related complications.
“I honestly did not know that was the last time I would be speaking to him,” he added.
Following his death messages of comfort and condolences pour in from friends family and colleagues in honour of the departed.
Led by President Uhuru Kenyatta who described the firebrand politician as a witty, determined and practical politician whose rise in life was as a result of sheer hard work.
“It is unfortunate that death has taken from us the Hon Kalembe Ndile in his prime. He was a lively politician who loved and worked with everyone and always held the interests of the country at heart,” Uhuru stated.
Deputy President William Ruto was not left out, describing the politician as a voice to the underprivileged in the society.
“He will best be remembered for his modesty, insights, independent voice and fighting for the rights of the underprivileged,” stated Ruto.
