The Danish Family Planning Association (DFPA) is seeking an experienced and qualified consultant to document the comprehensive approach used in an ongoing project aiming to prevent and manage SGBV in Homabay (Kenya). DFPA and partners has since 2018 been implementing this comprehensive approach to Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) prevention and management.
Background DFPA is a non-governmental organization without religious or political affiliations. We work with associations and organizations within the sphere of sexual and reproductive health and rights and are a member of International Planned Parenthood Federation. DFPA have been implementing international projects since 1994. In 2018 DFPA entered into partnership with partner organizations from different field of experience in order to implement a cross sectorial and comprehensive approach to prevention and management of SGBV in Kenya and Uganda.
Purpose of assignment The Consultancy concerns the documentation and analysis of the comprehensive approach used in the SGBV prevention and management project in Kenya. The consultant will document the approach, key results achieved and the lessons learned. Based on this analysis and an international literature review the consultant should provide recommendations for improvement of the approach. The outcome of the consultancy will guide future project implementation and ensure that new projects are based on a well described approach in order to achieve significant and sustainable results.

Competences and qualifications of Consultant (or a team of consultants) The Consultant should have the following competences and experiences:
· Proven experience in using quantitative research methods
· Professional experience with working in Kenya (with the health sector and civil society)
· Comprehensive technical knowledge of people centred and cross sectorial SGBV prevention and management approaches – preferably in a Global South context
· Experience in documentation of programmatic approaches and target oriented communication
· Knowledge of sexual and reproductive health and rights
· Fluency in English.
