Deported opposition activist Miguna Miguna could not hold back his joy after photos emerged of a vandalized Francis Atwoli road sign.
The fiery opposition activist rejoiced at the news, sharing an image of the vandalized road sign that he captioned accordingly to reflect his mood.
“Lovely. Viva! #RevolutionNow” Miguna wrote.
The Nairobi County Government moved in swiftly to reinstall the sign for Francis Atwoli Road in Kileleshwa estate.
In addition to cementing the sign to the ground, the county government went a step further and also installed a CCTV camera for the security of the area and scare away goons.
“If you think you came from the moon go try to remove it again,” Atwoli warned.
COTU secretary general Francis Atwoli has warned those who pulled down the road sign to a road named after himself to keep off.
The fiery trade unionist has warned that a CCTV camera has been installed at the scene to capture any offenders.
The road was marked in pomp and colour with Nairobi governon Anne Kananu stating that the road is a befitting honour to Atwoli.
“This road has been renamed after my good friend and brother bwana Francis Atwoli in recognition of his selfless contribution and agitating for the rights of the Kenyan workers in the last 54 years,” Kananu noted.
