Uhuru & Son step out in fashionable matching uniforms [Video]

President Uhuru Kenyatta and his son Jomo caused a stir on Friday after stepping out in matching uniforms during the official launch of the 4K Clubs at the ASK Showground at Jamhuri Park, Nairobi County.

Jomo who accompanied his father to the event was captured in a fashionable white outfit similar to the one the head of state was wearing.

He stayed away from the limelight as other leaders attending the event took center stage but the media picked him out.

Jomo who is married to Foreign Affairs CS Raychelle Omamo’s niece Fiona Achola is the president’s first son.

Today’s event marked an ambitious plan to revive 4K Clubs as part of a government strategy to reposition agriculture as a key economy driver and employment creator.

The 4 Ks are an acronym for “Kuungana, Kufanya, Kusaidia Kenya” in Kiswahili, a clarion call to help the country be food secure.

The clubs will equip students with practical skills and introduce them to farming, environmental conservation and civic engagement.

My name is Hilda Njeri, owner of Hildatech Enterprise. I do pig farming, a venture that I started in the year 2019. I chose to rear pigs because it is not expensive. There is also an available market for pork. I currently have a total of 170 pigs,” said one of the professional agribusiness exhibitors while encouraging the students to join 4K clubs.

Uhuru observed that agriculture is the engine of growth in Kenya and youths being the largest demographic in Kenya, it’s vital to empower them to take part in agriculture and agribusiness.
