Detectives arrest 2 in connection with daring robbery in which Ksh 6 Million was stolen

Police have arrested two men in connection with a daring robbery in which Ksh 6 Million was stolen from the residence of Chinese nationals.

Reports indicate that three man, two of whom have since been arrested attacked the Chinese nationals at their residential houses located within the Karimenu II dam project in the area and made away with the cash.

The suspects are said to have gained entry by slithering through a water drainage tunnel at the fence.

At the time of the robbery, one of the suspects was armed with a pistol while two others were armed with knives.

A police report filed in connection with the case reads in part that “They were forced to surrender approximately Ksh6 million”.

A sting operation led by top detectives in the county netted in the suspects who are now in lawful police custody.

In the wake of the daring robbery, high profile police officers from Kiambu County led by county commander Ali Nuno visited the scene to assist with cracking the case.

Detectives are now interrogating the two suspects hoping to obtain crucial leads that will lead to the arrest of the third suspect who is still at large before they are arraigned in court.

The suspects, in the case booked under OB number OB/2/5/62021, will be arraigned in court and charged with robbery with violence.
