Aden Duale’s stern warning to Mt. Kenya over Waiguru’s plans (Video)

Garissa Town Member of Parliament Aden Duale has warned the Mt. Kenya people to be cautious with Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru and her her Murang’a counterpart Mwangi Wa Iria over alleged spreading of division.

Speaking on Wednesday June 9, 2021, Duale stated that Waiguru and Wa Iria had dented the image of the revered region with selfishness opposing the coronation of National Assembly speaker Justin Muturi.

The firebrand legislator warned the Mt Kenya people to be careful with the two leaders by reading malice in their recent statements.

“If elders saw you fit to be Mt Kenya’s spokesperson then you also qualify to be Kenya’s spokesperson.

“Their sentiments show how selfish they are and they are depicting Mt Kenya as a selfish region. If they can do this to one of their own, imagine what Deputy President William Ruto and others are going through,” Duale cautioned.

Duale dared those opposing Muturi’s leadership to bring the motion on the floor, schooling his counterparts that MP cannot impeach the speaker, but rather pass a vote of No confidence.

His sentiments were reiterated by the Jubilee party nominated MP David Ole Sankok, who vouched for Muturi’s soberness and good leadership on the floor, without politicking.

This comes days after Waiguru’s recent rebuke on Muturi’s coronation, noting that he never consulted other leaders before he was coronated.

“These ceremonies will not give him an upper hand. Ultimately Speaker Muturi and others seeking Mt Kenya votes will have to seek votes from the only legitimate determinants of leadership, the people,” Waiguru slammed.

“Allowing such a retrogressive activity to proceed will be tantamount to welcoming a curse on my people,” Murang’a Governor wa Iria added.

President Uhuru’s cousin Rt. Captain Kung’u Muigai supported Muturi terming him President Uhuru Kenyatta’s mouthpiece and supreme leader of the region.

President Uhuru Kenyatta’s cousin Kung’u Muigai added that Muturi was the voice of the head of state. “Muturi will be the supreme leader and will speak to the entire region on behalf of the president,” Muigai, an elder announced.
