Gospel musician Ringtone Apoko has appealed to Kenyans to remember him in prayers in the wake of the recent road rage drama that saw blogger Robert Alai allegedly clobber him with a rungu.

The controversial gospel musician claimed that he has been experiencing a bad headache since the altercation with Alai last week.

He stated that he has several medicines prescribed to him after he sought medical attention following the incident.

The singer added that he was well prior to the incident that has left him with a headache that persists even after taking the prescribed medicine.

Hizi dawa zote nimepewa MP Shah…Mimi nikikufa ni Alai ameniua, sikuwa mgonjwa. Watu mniombee. Wakenya mniombee.Nimekunywa dawa na siponi.

(I am having a very bad headache. If I die, let it be known that blogger Robert Alai killed me. I was not sick until our encounter last week. I have been taking medicine and I am yet to get any relief. Kenyans should pray for me).

The duo was involved in an ugly altercation after Alai’s car, a Subaru model, rammed onto ringtone’s range rover leading to a nasty spat and fight.

In the viral video capturing the incident, Alai is seen carrying a Maasai rungu while Ringtone is standing on top of his range, throwing all sorts of nasty insults at each other.

Alai was afterwards apprehended and taken to Kilimani police station.

He was afterwards released on bail with the matter finding its way to court.

The gospel hitmaker was treated at Kenyatta National Hospital.
