By John Kariuki.

It might seem very obvious about what the work of a member of county assembly (MCA) entails as per the Constitution.

The MCA is usually elected to oversee development at the ward level.

Gatong’ora is one of the wards in Ruiru Constituency represented by Hon Dan Kuria whom in an interaction with NewsCentre noted.

“The job of an MCA is three fold and it includes representation, legislation and oversight. This is a magnanimous role that requires dedication and focus but since I’ve been elected , I’ve already started serving the people of Gatong’ora.

He at the same time strongly supported the formation of a ward development fund.

“This we can do it through several avenues one of them being tabling a motion in the County Assembly and proposing for the realization of the pivotal fund. This will ensure development at the ward level and the MCA will no longer be at the mercy of the Governor. He noted.”

Mr Kuria at the same time hailed his excellency the President Dr William Ruto for signing into law the piece of legislation that will see to it that County Governments allocation of funds will be increased.

https://newscentre.co.ke/ wishes Very Hon. Mr Dan Kuria, Member of County Assembly for Gatongora ward, all the best. May God bless him.
