Mombasa Woman Representative Zamzam Mohamed has led a mentorship program.
In her own words she said:
“MENTORSHIP PROGRAM:
Earlier today, I presided over a mentorship program held in Tononoka Social hall, Mombasa.
The aim of the program is to mentor students from various schools within the county to be better people in the society and help them grow spiritually, physically and mentally.
During the program, the students and participants engaged with our facilitators who tackled a wide range of topical issues including; poor performance, insecurities, drug abuse, mental health, self awareness, teenage pregnancies, LGBTQ, vocation and career guidance.
This program aims to not only encourage and motivate students to do better academically but also to mold and shape their character resulting in well-rounded individuals.
My office will continue to provide such mentorship programs to all students within with constructive and positive interactions, guidance and mentorship from successful role models.
I wish to thank the school teachers for allowing the students to attend the program and also my sincere gratitudes to local MCAs,(Hon Mohammed Hamid , Hon Benard Ogutu, Hon Allen Katana, Hon Nusura Mwinyi, Hon Mwaka Zahoro, Hon Leilah Nyache, Hon Shuhudia , Hon Hassan Gago, Hon Geoffrey Busaka, Hon Sheillah Karembo; facilitors and different speakers from Kasneb, Ajira Digital, Zetech University and Equity Bank Kenya for making the event a success.”
