    According to Miriam Mukami Maina who ministers with the body of Christ United International Global Ministries, she notes that the religious body should be allowed to self regulate citing the independence of other religions such as Islam.

    This follows shocking revelations of a preacher in Shakahola, Malindi in Kilifi County who lured his congregants to death by starvation through fasting.

    At the moment the DCI is trying to unravel the mystery behind the massacre.

    Police from criminal investigation headquarters (DCI) have net 25 and half sacks of bhang with estimate street value of 4.5 million in mihango immaculate area arresting 4 suspects, the owner of the car, the worker and two drivers also with them police recovered 2 probox with fake number plates.

    The bhang was traced from migori to Nairobi Mihango Area where they found another consignment in the House where it was destined for supply.

    The OCPD Kayole, Mr Paul Wambugu while confirming the incident said the police were acting on a tip off and urged residents to continue to give information to the police in the fight againist narcotics.

    Mr Paul has urged the judiciary to join hands by giving strict term’s and bails while charging them in court .

    Present was the new OCPD Ruai Mrs. Patricia Yegon who urged Kenyans to join hands to figure narcotics to save a generation.

    Board members of Kenya Transport and safety authority NTSA has given its director general George Njau a compulsory leave of 30 days and appointed Cosmas Ngeso as the acting DG.

    Speaking during a press conference in Nairobi, the chairman of NTSA Aden Noor Ali said the action was taken so as to investigate some of the information they need to get until the board will decide otherwise.

    The board also said measures will be taken to restore safety and sanity of our roads including strictly enforcing the NTSA( operation of PSV) Regulations 2014 like requirement of a valid inspection for all vehicles, road service lincences for all vehicles, valid driving licences and PSV badges for all drivers and conductors

    Following public service and operators or saccos who have been involved infatilities in the last 30 days, their licences have been suspended with immediate effect such as Taita Taveta, Tahmeed sacco, Team Swat logistics & Management Limited, Kyoga Hauliers Kenya Limited.

    Government set to double University TVET funds, President Ruto says

    President William Ruto has announced plans to double funds allocated to tertiary institutions.

    He said the move will help the institutions improve quality of education.

    “From May, we are going to have a new and comprehensive funding mechanism,” he announced.

    He made the remarks on Saturday in Laare, Meru County, during the launch of the tarmacking of the Kaelo-Kamukunji-Mutuati Road.

    The Pres said the road will be completed by December this year.

    At the same time, the President said the Government is committed to increasing earnings by farmers and creating economic opportunities for all Kenyans.

    He said the Government had put in place a new regulation reducing miraa levies to boost earnings.

    “Now that we have removed those levies and fees, the miraa business will thrive,” he said.

    The President said the new regulation has also unlocked a market in Somalia for the product following negotiations.

    Present were Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi, Meru Gov Bishop Kawira Mwangaza, and MPs led by Majority Leader Kimani Ichungw’ah.

    Later in Buuri Constituency, the President commissioned the Kiirua Buuri Irrigation Development Project that will benefit more than 5,000 farmers.

    “It will improve food and nutrition security besides enhancing farm income to Sh400 million a year,” he said.

    Ruto explained that the Government will shift from rains to irrigation-fed agriculture.

    “We must make our agriculture commercial and sustainable so that we can break the poverty cycle that is associated with farming.”

    One businessman from Eastleigh who used to do construction work is seeking justice.

    Mrefu had a yard where he used to operate from. His job involved hiring construction equipment for his clients.

    But as fate would have it, he started receiving threats to vacate the premises without any justification.

    It got worse to the point that he was threatened with his life. He says efforts to seek justice have been futile and he now lives from hand to mouth.

    He is now seeking relevant authorities to intervene
