Simple, composed, kind-hearted and open-minded are just but a few of the attributes that can describe Kenya Tea Development Authority Chairman David Ichoho.

Since he took over leadership of the agency, Mr Ichoho has set his vision to reinvigorate tea farming in the country whilst at the same time adding value to the precious commodity.

Mr Ichoho has also been on the frontline working in tandem with other government agencies to source for new markets for our tea away from the traditional markets of Pakistan and Egypt.

Mr Ichoho has also been urging farmers to embrace diversification at a time when the Country is grappling with the effects of climate change.

He spoke when he toured a farm in Gatundu South which had caught fire and 800 bushes were consumed by the inferno. He urged farmers to be cautious especially when handling their tea.
